CreativeChaos Snags Rights to Klementyna Suchanow Bestseller

CreativeChaos has acquired the rights to author and activist Klementyna Suchanow’s nonfiction Polish bestseller This is War: Women, Fundamentalists and the New Middle Ages.

The as-yet-untitled docuseries will underscore Suchanow’s transformation from author to activist, following how Suchanow, with the help of an international network, is working to expose a fundamentalist global effort to destroy human rights and turn the world’s democracies into authoritarian regimes.

As the co-founder of Polish Women’s Strike, Suchanow’s years-long mission has taken her across the world as she scrutinizes a network of traditionalist-conservative organizations throughout Europe, Latin America, Africa and the U.S.

“As the world awaits the elections in 2024, the threats posed by the Kremlin must be made transparent in order for Western democracy to be preserved,” said Tom Donahue, co-founder of CreativeChaos.

Ilan Arboleda, co-founder of CreativeChaos and executive producer, commented, “Klementyna’s plight is an urgent reminder that democracy is fragile and isn’t guaranteed. We’re thrilled to partner with her and bring her worthy investigation to the screen.”

Suchanow added, “I am glad I have found courageous partners for making my investigation into a movie to raise awareness about the geopolitical danger hiding behind the anti-abortion and anti-LGBT attacks.”
