Coachella Doc Set for YouTube

YouTube Originals is partnering with Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival for the feature-length documentary Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert.

In celebration of the festival’s 20th anniversary, the doc presents performances and behind-the-scenes stories that shaped the music festival over the course of two decades. The film gives a look at Coachella’s beginning, presenting exclusive, never-before-seen footage and interviews. Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert is slated to premiere on YouTube on March 31.

YouTube is also set to return for the tenth year in a row as the official playlist and live-stream partner for both weekends of Coachella. This year, YouTube Premium members will receive exclusive Coachella perks, including access to a members-only allocation of passes for purchase.

Produced and directed by Chris Perkel, Coachella: 20 Years in the Desert is a Goldenvoice and Hamsterdam production, in association with AEG Studios. Raymond Leon Roker and Paul Tollett serve as executive producers.
