Cisneros Media and Playmakers Entertainment have partnered with Jason Silva to create the new factual series The Science Of.

The Science Of takes viewers on a journey to discover everything that happens while people breathe. In the ten-episode series, futurist Silva seeks to change the perception of the present by studying the science behind what makes up one’s daily life—from food and intelligence to sex, music and more.

In addition to hosting The Science Of, Silva will serve as associate producer, together with Cisneros Media and Playmakers, and will have an active role in the entire process of creating and developing the series.

Silva said: “The Science Of is an invitation to look beyond the veil of everyday perception, to look beyond the trappings of habit and crack ourselves open. It’s a show about the sheer miraculousness of existence and the ravishing scientific insights that reveal the world to us in new ways. I’m so thrilled to be a part of this project.”

Ailing Zubizarreta, VP of development and creative at Cisneros Media, said: “The creative partnership between Cisneros Media, Playmakers and Jason Silva is a true testament to the alchemy surrounding The Science Of. We are living through an unprecedented historical time that has pushed us to question the human experience like never before in modern history. Leaving us to be more open, receptive and sensible to all that makes up our existence. The Science Of will answer in an intuitive and dynamic way our innermost questions about the science of our lives.”

Luciano Molina, CEO and founder at Playmakers Entertainment, said: “It isn’t often that a project aligns and synchronizes organically with the right time, the right place and the right people. That’s why we’re so excited to be co-creating this wonderful show with Cisneros Media and Jason Silva, who will make the audience feel like astronauts in orbit. The Science Of is the ability to ‘crack open the matrix’ and show us what hides behind the world around us.”
