Cineflix Rights Reveals MIPCOM 2021 Factual Slate

Cineflix Rights has unveiled its slate of factual programming that is set to launch at MIPCOM 2021, including Voices from the Dead with Professor Bettany Hughes.

The three-part docuseries sees Hughes use new technology alongside her investigative skills to reveal intimate portraits of people and how they lived in Ancient Egypt and Pompeii. Voices from the Dead is produced by SandStone Global for Channel 5 in the U.K.

Another three-parter, The Greatest of All Time with Photographer Walter Iooss, from Kaufman Films for ESPN in the U.S., celebrates the greatest athletes of the past half-century through the work of the iconic sports photographer. Richard Hammond’s Workshop, from Chimp Productions and Kremplewood for discovery+ in the U.K. and Ireland, is a six-part series that follows the daredevil TV presenter and car buff as he launches a high-end restoration shop for rare classic cars and motorbikes.

Made by Go Button Media for Canada’s Super Channel, the six-part docuseries Secret Nazi Expeditions exposes Hitler’s hunt for ancient knowledge and artifacts and the covert missions behind the Nazi propaganda machine. Smoke & Steel: Secrets of the Modern World, a six-part series from Like a Shot Entertainment for UKTV and Discovery Science in the U.S., explores the engineering innovations of the industrial revolution and reveals how the same techniques and inventions are helping to build the modern world.

The ten-parter Moving Houses, from Imagination Television for TVNZ in New Zealand, follows daring Kiwis as they move must-have homes to picture-perfect New Zealand settings. A Rare TV docuseries for BBC1 in the U.K., Expert Witness celebrates the unsung courtroom heroes who helped solve some of the most complex crimes, using science and determination to uncover critical hidden clues.

Ainsley’s Good Mood Food, a ten-parter from Rock Oyster Media for ITV in the U.K., follows chef Ainsley Harriott on a cross-country culinary road trip. Another ten-parter, Smart Home Nation, from Efran Films for FYI and Crackle in the U.S., guides viewers on a tour of jaw-dropping, technologically advanced homes.
