Cineflix Rights Closes Raft of North American Content Deals

Cineflix Rights has closed a raft of international deals across Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Israel for content from North American producer partners.

Cult Justice, produced by Law&Crime Productions for True Crime Network in the U.S., sold to Sky in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as Canal+ in France and TV4 in Sweden. The eight-parter tells the true stories of false prophets who thought they were above the law.

History of the Sitcom, originally from Cream Productions for CNN Original Series in the U.S., was bought by Canal+ (France), SBS (Australia), DRTV (Denmark), TVNZ (New Zealand), CLT (the Netherlands and Luxembourg), Yes (Israel), CBC Gem (Canada) and Chek TV (Canada). The show reunites audiences with the sitcom friends, families and co-workers they’ve loved watching over the years.

A+E Networks EMEA acquired Ghost Ships for its channels in the U.K., Ireland, Poland, Romania and Hungary. The four-part series comes from Arcadia Entertainment and was originally produced for Bell in Canada. It follows a team of ocean adventurers battling against the harsh marine environment as they uncover the truth about some historic maritime catastrophes.

The two-part series O.J. Simpson: Blood, Lies & Murder, produced by Buck Productions in association with Connect3 Media for REELZ in the U.S., was picked up by AMC CRIME in Iberia. Each one-hour episodes reexamines the most notorious double-murder investigation of all time and reveals new evidence that points straight to the killer.

Lastly, Cineflix Rights sold Kings of Coke to Sky in the U.K., Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Planète in France and Foxtel in Australia. The 90-minute feature, produced by Connect3 Media and Urban Media for Bell Media in Canada, chronicles the rise of one of North America’s biggest criminal organizations based in the unlikely location of Montreal, along with the cops and journalists who relentlessly pursued its three leaders.
