Channel 5 has ordered a third season of Mentorn Media’s Inside the Force: 24/7.
The 12-part series follows the team of over 500 officers in the U.K.’s Cleveland force as they patrol. The region has the highest crime rate in the country, including the highest rate of firearms offenses and the second-highest rate of knife crime.
The new season of the show will be distributed by Passion Distribution.
Tayte Simpson, executive producer for Mentorn Media, commented: “This is a gritty and unflinching look at the realities of policing in an area with the highest crime rates in the country.”
Adrian Padmore, commissioning editor for Channel 5 and Paramount+, said: “It’s great to be back as we go ‘behind the scenes’ of a new force, Cleveland Police, as they fight crime across Middlesbrough. This no-holds-barred third series exposes the very shocking realities facing police in modern Britain and the need for rapid reactions when tensions reach boiling point.”
Mark Webster, chief constable at Cleveland Police, added: “Cleveland Police is excited for the public to see the relentless hard work of our officers and staff, with the chance to demonstrate what a challenging yet rewarding role working in policing can be.”
