Channel 5 Orders Pair of Behind-the-Scenes Docs from Icon Films

Icon Films has been commissioned by the U.K.’s Channel 5 to produce two 90-minute one-off documentaries: Secrets of the Mega…Airline Food and Secrets of the Mega…Landfill.

Secrets of the Mega…Airline Food gives an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the U.K.’s largest supplier of airline food, Alpha LSG, at their food-production center near London’s Heathrow Airport. Secrets of the Mega…Landfill shares access to one of the largest waste landfill sites in North America, taking a close look at the industry that transports, processes, disposes and reuses waste on a daily basis.

The two new programs follow on from last year’s Icon Films productions All You Can Eat: Secrets of the Mega… Buffet and Totally Stuffed! Secrets of the Mega… Christmas Buffet, which both gave an insight into the inner workings of one of the U.K.’s largest buffet restaurant chains, JRC Global Buffet.
