Channel 5 has commissioned Boom for the four-part series Our Little Farm on the Prairie, which follows the lives of the Doan family in the U.S. state of North Dakota.

A close-knit family, the Doans are real-life cowboys with big personalities who have farmed their land for generations and are trying to still make a living off of it in the modern world. Set on the 17,000 acres of the Doan’s Black Leg Ranch, Our Little Farm on the Prairie was filmed over the course of the summer and explores the family’s rural lifestyle and rugged American traditions.

Boom, a part of ITV Studios, has also been commissioned for a fourth season of Skin A&E.

ITV Studios is handling international distribution for Our Little Farm on the Prairie.

Sam Grace, creative director of Boom and executive producer, said: “The Doans are an extraordinary family, and we just can’t wait to get started at their cattle ranch for a fascinating insight into the ups and downs of their all-American life in the Midwest. With Skin A&E also returning for a fourth series, we’re delighted to be working on multiple projects for Channel 5, which continues to be very supportive of us as a nations-based producer.”
