The Bust, a tentatively titled crime series from BBC Studios’ Unscripted Productions, has been commissioned by Channel 5.

The four-part series will explore the frontline of Britain’s biggest crime raids and give viewers a glimpse into the world of criminals of all stripes and the teams that work to bring them to justice. With access to a wide variety of police forces, law enforcement agencies and local authorities who are carrying out raids daily, and using the latest technology, The Bust (w/t) will be at the center of the action.

Adrian Padmore, commissioning editor for Channel 5, said: “This dynamic new series will thrill Channel 5 viewers with a dramatic and fascinating new perspective on modern British crime fighting.”

Jon Swain, head of unscripted productions, added: “We are really excited about The Bust, which will give viewers unique access to those fighting crime on the frontline and we’re delighted that Unscripted Productions in Cardiff has secured a further BBC Studios Channel 5 commission.”

Joe Mather, executive producer, commented: “This series not only reveals the heart-stopping moments when specialist enforcement teams strike but also the painstaking and fascinating work that goes into gathering the critical evidence needed to take such drastic action.”
