Channel 4 Orders Raw TV Doc One Punch

LONDON: Channel 4 has commissioned Raw TV to produce the documentary film One Punch (working title).

The hour-long documentary explores the repercussions of a single impulsive act of violence resulting in one punch that kills. It was shot in the U.K. over two and a half years in collaboration with the Warwickshire and Bedfordshire police forces, Victim Support and the Ministry of Justice.

One Punch features three accidental killers, looking at the circumstances that led up to the fatal punch and how their lives were changed. It features a behind-bars interview with a convicted attacker, as well as CCTV and mobile phone archives charting the moments leading up to a fatal assault.

Raw TV’s head of U.K. factual Richard Bond serves as executive producer. Tim Wardle directed.

“This is an important film about an underreported phenomena,” said Bond. “It reveals the shocking and surprising stories behind the headlines through powerful and moving testimony.”
