BritBox to Live Stream Prince Harry’s Wedding

BritBox will live stream ITV’s coverage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding for viewers in the U.S.

ITV’s coverage will be hosted by Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham, exclusively anchored from a specially constructed studio on the Long Walk in Windsor. The coverage will feature a range of guests, including individuals who know the bride and groom well, in addition to live coverage from around the world.

The live stream will begin on BritBox at 10:30 a.m. BST, and will have time-shifted streams for viewers in the U.S. In addition to live coverage, a special hour-long highlights show will be available after the wedding. BritBox will also bring the royal wedding to the big screen with a theatrical release of Harry & Meghan – The Royal Wedding: The Big Day on the Big Screen. It will be available commercial free in movie theaters across the U.S. on May 19 in partnership with Fathom Events.

Additionally, BritBox exclusively commissioned two programs that will make their global premieres in the week leading up to the wedding. Meghan & Harry: A Revolutionary Romance will be narrated by Dame Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey), while WEDTalks: The BritBox Wedding Watchers Guide is an exclusive daily countdown to the event, hosted by former BBC royal correspondent and royal expert Jennie Bond. The program will provide viewers with an inside look at the couple and their wedding preparations. BritBox will kick off its coverage on May 10, culminating with the royal wedding on May 19.

“BritBox will be the ultimate destination—for streaming and now for the first time in theaters—to enjoy the upcoming nuptials in true British style,” said Soumya Sriraman, the president of BritBox. “BritBox is the only U.S. destination providing access to ITV’s live broadcast of the event and Julie and Phillip’s expert take on the proceedings. In addition, we’ve curated a special lineup that not only gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the wedding, including programming hosted by the ultimate, in-the-know expert, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, but also gives fans a well-rounded view of the soon-to-be married couple and the royal family.”
