Blue Ant International has inked a number of licensing deals and four renewals between Japan’s national broadcaster NHK and cable and satellite network Fox Networks Group Japan.

NHK licensed three new titles, including Turtle Beach, which reveals turtles’ nesting behaviors and the hidden world inside their nests, and UFOs: The Lost Evidence, which explores if human contact with UFOs is deeper and more far-reaching than imagined. The broadcaster also picked up Rooted, which showcases five of South Africa’s most iconic trees and the unique animals, insects and birds surrounding them.

Fox Networks Group Japan secured a new license for Blue, a journey into the ocean realm. Renewals include the first seasons of Undiscovered Vistas, Coastal Africa, Great Blue Wild and Land of Gremlins.

“Blue Ant International’s premium content aligns perfectly with the beautiful and thought-provoking factual programming our Japanese broadcast partners curate,” said Solange Attwood, executive VP of Blue Ant International. “Both broadcasters have high standards for storytelling and high-quality productions, which speaks to the strength and universal appeal of our 4K programming and we look forward to working with NHK and Fox Global Networks Japan to place additional titles on their platforms.”
