Blink Films Taps ITV Studios Alum to Lead Expansion

LONDON: Indie producer Blink Films has appointed Jon Lloyd to the post of creative director of popular factual as it branches out into factual entertainment, formats and features.

In his new role, Lloyd will work with Blink’s executive team of Dan Chambers, Justine Kershaw and Sarah Sapper in London, as well as Brad Kohlenstein in the U.S., to spearhead the growth of the popular factual division and expand the company’s roster to include factual entertainment, formats and features. He will be based in London.

Lloyd most recently served as executive producer at Boomerang, where he oversaw a production slate that included shows such as Posh Pawn and Posh Pawnbrokers for Channel 4. He has also held creative roles at ITV Studios, RDF and Studio Lambert.

Blink Films’s Chambers and Kershaw commented: “Jon has produced some of the U.K.’s most notable and award-winning popular factual series and formats and we are thrilled that he is joining our expanding creative team to broaden our reach into new genres. We are confident he will help to rapidly build the company’s portfolio of productions, including our increased push into factual entertainment and features for both a U.K. and global audience.”
