Corus Entertainment’s Global has acquired Billy Joel: The 100th Live at Madison Square Garden to air in Canada on April 14.

The special was shot at Billy Joel’s historic, record-breaking 100th performance at the iconic New York City venue Madison Square Garden as part of his franchise run on March 28. It marks Joel’s first concert to air on a broadcast network.

Seventeen-time Grammy Award-winning artist Sting and comedian, writer and director Jerry Seinfeld made surprise appearances at the concert filmed for the special.

Since Joel’s first show at the venue on December 14, 1978, through his final residency show set to take place in July 2024, Joel has sold out every one of his concerts at Madison Square Garden. This has not been achieved by any other artist to date.

Billy Joel: The 100th Live at Madison Square Garden will air on Global and be available to stream on STACKTV.

The special was directed by Paul Dugdale and co-produced by Sony Music Entertainment, Enliven Entertainment and The Recording Academy. Sony Music Vision is the U.S. distributor, while Sony Pictures Entertainment handles international distribution. Sony Pictures Television distributed the special in Canada to Corus Entertainment.
