Billy Goes North Lands on Blaze in U.K. & Ireland

Proper Rights has secured a deal that will see the reality show Billy Goes North air on A+E’s branded channel Blaze in the U.K. and Ireland.

Produced by Proper Television, Billy Goes North follows the adventures of TV personality Billy Bretherton as he leaves Louisiana behind to conquer some of North America’s most menacing pests and critters. He takes a hands-on approach, from encounters with wolves preying on livestock to battling beavers that are flooding country roads to evicting porcupines from a home.

“Billy is a genuine character that is loved by audiences worldwide,” said Natalie Vinet, the VP of Proper Rights. “We’re pleased to be working with A+E to bring his trademark Southern style, ingenious methods and endless sense of adventure to yet another market.”

Proper Rights has also recently sold Body Hack with Todd Sampson to Bell Media’s French specialty channel Canal D and celebrity scandal series Under the Influence to Bell Media’s French specialty channel Investigation. In addition, Discovery Benelux picked up season three of the car-cult show Vegas Rat Rods. The docuseries True North Calling was sold to Viasat for its Explore channel across the Nordics, CEE and Russia.
