Bill Gates to Keynote WCSFP

Bill Gates has been tapped to deliver a keynote address at the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP), which will take place online from December 8 to 10.

Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has been a leading voice in the fight against COVID-19 and the foundation has provided funding to improve detection, isolation and treatment efforts; protect at-risk populations in Africa and South Asia; accelerate the development of vaccines, drugs and diagnostics; and minimize social and economic impacts of the virus. He will discuss these issues in conversation with medical journalist Dr. Mercy Korir.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, one of the lead members of the Trump administration’s White House Coronavirus Task Force, will also speak to members about the battle to fight the pandemic and the relationship between science and the public.

In all, there are 50-plus sessions in the Congress ’20 program. This year will explore issues ranging from the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement to global warming and delve into the latest trends and tech, from digital to gaming.
