SINGAPORE: Virtual-reality company BeVRR is gearing up to premiere Dining Stars, the world’s first VR lifestyle web series, later this month.

Dining Stars was filmed entirely in 360-degree virtual-reality format, which allows viewers to look around in all directions as they could in real life. The show sees supermodel host Rebecca Tan dine with celebrity guests at various restaurants. The eight-episode series is due to debut on December 14.

Ellie Ngim, the director of Dining Stars, remarked: “The process of content creation is completely different in 360 VR. We hope this series will inspire the content creators to explore and innovate in new grounds.”

Irene Ang, actress and founder/CEO of Fly Entertainment, who is also an advisory board member of Singapore Media Festival, added: “So excited to be on this first VR series. I hope with this technology comes new challenging shows and interesting programs. The only setback is…no more adjusting my thongs cause the camera is 360!”
