BBC Storyville Slates for Spring

BBC Storyville has unveiled its spring slate of films for BBC Four and iPlayer, spanning political thrillers, paranormal explorations, music docs and more.

On May 14, Praying for Armageddon is set to bow. The title explores the power and influence of American Evangelical Christians as they aim to fulfill the Armageddon prophecy and exposes the beliefs of megachurch pastors.

The Gullspång Miracle: A Nordic Mystery, which sees two sisters buy an apartment in the small Swedish town of Gullspång and experience their own divine premonition, is set for May 21. Dalton’s Dream, on performer Dalton Harris, will debut on May 28.

Two premieres are set for June. Against the Tide, following Indian fishermen from the ancient indigenous fishing community of Mumbai, is set for June 4, while soccer film COPA ’71: The Lost Lionesses is anticipated for June 11.

Flee, on the plight of a gay Afghan man, is also on the slate, alongside Bad Press, about the the Muscogee Nation. Their premieres are yet to be confirmed.

Inheriting the Castle is slated for July 2. The film follows Justina, an indigenous Argentinian who has been rewarded by her former employer for her lifelong work as her maid with an enormous crumbling mansion deep in the Argentinian Pampa.
