Auto-Enthusiasts Programming Block Slated for HISTORY

A+E Networks has revealed DRIVE, a dedicated programming block headed for HISTORY catering to the passions of auto enthusiasts.

HISTORY’s lineup already includes Counting Cars, Truck Night in America and programming events like Car Week. DRIVE ramps up A+E’s auto-themed content strategy by bringing some of the hit shows in automotive programming together with original short-form, branded content and digital elements. DRIVE initially began airing on HISTORY on Sunday mornings and has recently expanded to FYI on Saturdays in prime time.

In January 2019, through a new partnership with Raycom Media, DRIVE will welcome RTM Studio’s PowerNation franchise. Its programming includes Engine Power, XOR, Truck Tech and Detroit Muscle.

“We are thrilled to announce the expansion of DRIVE with such a strong slate of RTM Studios shows for our highly-engaged, auto junkie fan base,” said Christian Murphy, senior VP of enthusiast brands and programming partnerships. “Together with our massive library of hit car and truck themed programming, this new partnership rounds out the already popular offering with a fresh new franchise, trusted talent and a new, how-to programming angle. We could not be more happy to be the new home of PowerNation, and to be partnering with Matthew Hawkins and his outstanding team. We look forward to welcoming their legions of fans who have followed the PowerNation franchise for decades.”
