Antenna Pictures & Viceland Align for How to Rob a Bank

Antenna Pictures, a Blue Ant Media factual production company, has teamed up with Viceland for the drama-documentary series How to Rob a Bank.

The eight-part docuseries will tell the stories of ordinary Americans—from teachers and lawyers to college students and soldiers—who spiral into becoming bank robbers. Each individual’s story is told through personal testimony, reconstructions and a return to the scene of the crime. Not only does How to Rob a Bank explore the how, but also the reasons why the unlikely robbers were driven to commit their crimes.

Jago Lee, managing director at Antenna Pictures, said: “How to Rob a Bank is an edgy, surprising and legally complex show to pull off, full of fascinating human stories. It’s exactly the kind of engaging, psychologically rich series we want to be making.”

Sam Sniderman, executive VP of production at Blue Ant Media, added: “We are delighted that Antenna, Blue Ant Media’s London-based production company, is working with Viceland on How to Rob a Bank. Following the success of The Sidemen Show for YouTube Premium, Jago and his team are again making an entertaining factual show for the global market.”

Nomi Ernst Leidner, Viceland’s senior VP of development, commented: “The title alone was a win. Who hasn’t wondered—what does it take to actually rob a bank—what does it really look like? Something about a heist seems both accessible and unfathomable at the same time.”
