Ample Entertainment has appointed Kathryn Vaughan as the company’s head of current and alternative development.

In her new role, Vaughan will lead the company’s large series slate and production unit, which includes the ten-part series The First Mindhunter for Peacock as well as projects for discovery+, Netflix and more. She comes to Ample with more than two decades of experience in the television industry across many unscripted genres.

Recently, Vaughan headed up the ITV company Good Caper Content, which she launched in 2018 as ITV America’s true-crime and investigation arm. Previously, Vaughan served as executive producer at Magical Elves. She began her career in sports at Fox Sports Net, which was followed by ten years as an independent producer on such shows as Millionaire Matchmaker (Bravo) and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC).

Ari Mark, co-founder of Ample Entertainment, said: “Kathyrn is a coveted storyteller who has cultivated a unique voice and name for herself these past 20 years. Kathryn’s deep experience as a showrunner and creator [make her] a rare example of a producer who can do it all.”
