All3Media International Notches Up Unscripted Deals in North America

All3Media International has clinched new SVOD and AVOD deals in the U.S. and Canada, including selling 20-plus hours of unscripted content to BBC Select.

For the U.S. and Canada, BBC Select picked up Secrets of Our Universe with Tim Peake, produced by Coming Up Roses for Channel 5; Britain’s Most Beautiful Road, from Purple TV for Channel 4; Meet the Roman Emperor with Mary Beard, a Lion TV production for BBC Two; and Westminster Abbey: Behind Closed Doors, produced by Spun Gold for Channel 5.

BBC Select acquired SVOD rights in the U.S. and Canada to RAW’s true-crime series The Body Next Door (Sky Documentaries), as well as two titles from Two Rivers Media: Keeping It Up (BBC Storyville) and Monster: The Mystery of Loch Ness (Paramount+).

Documentary+ scooped up AVOD rights for two feature-length documentaries: Trump: The Criminal Conspiracy Case, produced by 72 Films for the BBC, and Paul Kemp Productions’ Searching for Satoshi: The Mysterious Disappearance of the Bitcoin Creator, produced for CBC in Canada. The latter has also been acquired by the SVOD platform Curiosity Stream.

The AVOD and linear platform Earth X secured rights to all four seasons of Coming up Roses’ travel series Big Adventures, originally produced for Channel 5, and Betty TV’s two-part series Gino and Fred’s Emission Impossible, produced for ITV. All series will be available for the platform’s U.S. audience.

Sally Habbershaw, executive VP for the Americas at All3Media International, commented, “The growth and success of VOD platforms in the American market is offering myriad opportunities for our diverse portfolio of content, and we’re delighted to see these fantastic titles traveling to audiences in the U.S. and Canada via these premium AVOD and SVOD platforms. By partnering with channels that focus purely on high-quality unscripted titles, we are not only expanding the reach of our factual content through multiple digital windows but also ensuring these titles find the perfect home—and viewers—in these key territories.”
