The Employables, a new eight-part docuseries that follows job seekers with conditions such as autism and Tourette syndrome on the hunt for meaningful employment, is slated to premiere on A&E Network in May.

Throughout the series, each job seeker is aided by specialists in uncovering their talents and showing potential employers the unexpected benefits of their respective conditions in the workplace. The aim is for the neuro-diverse job seekers to hone the skills to excel long-term in the perfect line of work for their abilities. The Employables also shows the experiences of their friends and family members as they support them in their goals. The series debuts Wednesday, May 8, at 10 p.m.

Elaine Frontain Bryant, executive VP and head of programming at A&E Network, said: “We are honored that A&E continues to be a home to stories that celebrate diversity and give a voice to those fearlessly pursuing their dreams. Like our Emmy-winning series Born This Way, The Employables is an important example of how embracing our differences can bring about positive and necessary change both in the workplace and in the lives of so many people.”
