A+E Lines Up Programming Stunt on Crime+Investigation Globally

A+E Networks has set its first-ever prime-time programming stunt to take place across its Crime+Investigation channel globally: Twisted Faith.

The seven-day block will feature a lineup of original programming, new season premieres of continuing series and locally produced long- and short-form content. Crime+Investigation channels around the world will kick off the event the week of November 18, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Jonestown massacre.

The weeklong initiative will premiere new hours of programming headlined by A&E IndieFilms’ No Greater Law, as well as new episodes of the original investigative series Cults and Extreme Belief, featuring journalist Elizabeth Vargas. There will also be local originals from Italy, Germany and the U.K.

“Twisted Faith was created for Crime+Investigation’s highly engaged, loyal viewers, many of whom represent life’s investigators—smart, curious students of human behavior,” said Sean Cohan, president of international and digital media at A+E Networks. “The event is an optimal platform to exploit the channel’s strong pipeline of cults and twisted faith-related programming while providing significant opportunities for localization as we present investigations of universal and broader themes across the week.”
