A. Smith & Co. Ups Rupert Dobson, Taps Duncan McIntosh

A. Smith & Co. Productions has elevated Rupert Dobson to senior VP of development, while also hiring Duncan McIntosh as VP of development.

The pair will collaborate on crafting new series for A. Smith & Co. programming across the Entertainment, Dox and Sports divisions.

Prior to this promotion, Dobson was VP of development at the company, a post he first took up in 2015. He most recently contributed to the team that developed NBC’s The Titan Games, featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

McIntosh previously worked at Endemol Shine North America as a producer for non-scripted formats in both the U.S. and around the world.

“Rupert has been a key player across all facets of our development cycle for many years now, and Duncan brings a depth of experience that will further bolster our production slate,” said Toby Gorman, the president of A. Smith & Co. Entertainment. “We’re proud to have them both as members of our all-star team, and look forward to working with them to create series that will inform, inspire and entertain viewers across all platforms.”
