Blue Ant International Taps Former Banijay Exec

TORONTO: Blue Ant International is expanding its U.K. office through the appointment of Mike Jackson, formerly of Banijay International, as the senior director of international sales and acquisitions.

In his new position, Jackson will be charged with overseeing efforts across a remit that includes co-productions, presales, sales and acquisitions. He will be responsible for sales into the U.K., the Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland), Benelux (the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg), Southern Europe (Italy Capodistria, Malta, San Marino, Switzerland, Vatican City, Greece and Cyprus) and the Middle East (Afghanistan, Armaco, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon and Oman).

“Our growth in the U.K. is critical to our continued leadership in premium content,” said Solange Attwood, the senior VP at Blue Ant International. “Mike’s extensive track record allows us to access more global partnerships and leading content creators, while delivering on our clients’ ever-evolving needs across multiple platforms.”

Jackson joins the company from Banijay International, where he served as head of global sales. Prior to that, Jackson also worked at DCD Rights, Zodiak Rights and DRG’s Zeal Television. He will attend MIPTV as part of the Blue Ant International team.
