PBS Travel FAST Channel Launches on Prime Video & Plex

PBS Distribution and American Public Television have launched the FAST channel PBS Travel on Prime Video in the U.S. and Plex in the U.S. and Canada.

The channel features titles for travel-loving audiences such as Rick Steves’ Europe, Curious Traveler, Dream of Italy, Weekends with Yankee and more. It is set to roll out on Samsung TV Plus later this month as well.

The channel is anchored by multiple seasons of Rick Steves’ Europe, the longest-running travel series in public media. Curious Traveler blends travel and history. Dream of Italy provides a cinematic journey through the country’s cultural and culinary treasures. Weekends with Yankee takes viewers through the heart of New England. The Visions of… series rounds out the lineup, offering aerial tours of iconic landscapes across the U.S., Europe and beyond.

“PBS Travel lets viewers explore the world from home, discovering new cultures and perspectives through trusted storytelling and familiar faces,” said Andrea Downing, president of PBS Distribution. “It’s a powerful way to connect us all.”

“We’re thrilled to partner with PBS Distribution to launch PBS Travel—a channel that brings the magic of travel to viewers everywhere,” commented Jim Dunford, president and CEO of American Public Television. “These programs celebrate the people, places and traditions that make our world so rich and diverse. It’s a wonderful way to explore, learn and be inspired—all from the comfort of home.”

“PBS Travel is an exciting new way to bring our stories to more people, more easily,” added Rick Steves, travel expert and host of Rick Steves’ Europe. “Whether you’re planning a trip or simply dreaming of one, this channel offers a front-row seat to the wonders of the world.”
