Onza Distribution Brings New Wildlife Doc to MIP London

Onza Distribution has brought the new documentary Iberia & Savannah: One Wildlife, produced by Azor Producciones for RTVE, to MIP London.

The 52-minute documentary draws connections between the Iberian dehesa and the African savannah, showcasing the similarities in the lives and behaviors of species that live in the two different ecosystems. It primarily follows the upbringings of an Iberian lynx and a leopard but also compares the lives of species such as foxes and jackals, deer and Thomson’s gazelles, wild boars and warthogs and many more.

“I had always heard that the Iberian dehesa landscape was very similar to an African savannah, and at a young age, I was able to witness it,” said Eduardo Barrachina, the documentary’s director. “However, I initially thought it was just a matter of landscape. But no—the similarities between both ecosystems go far beyond that.”

“We are delighted to take part in the production of Iberia & Savannah: One Wildlife,” commented Gonzalo Sagardía, CEO of Onza. “Blue-chip documentaries are undoubtedly one of the strongest niches in the international documentary market. At Onza Distribution, we aim to develop a competitive catalog around this genre, one of the strongest and more stable in the international market.”
