Cineflix Rights Expands Deal with Law&Crime Productions

Cineflix Rights has expanded its deal with Law&Crime Productions to cover 30 new hours of true-crime content.

Two ten-part series—Most Likely to Murder and Kill Switch—are already in production for Law&Crime Network in the U.S. The previous deal between the two companies covered 50 hours of content and included titles such as Cult Justice.

The upcoming Most Likely to Murder explores what happens when the most popular students in class turn out to be cold-blooded killers. It reveals the secrets of infamous young people who became engulfed in the dark world of crime.

Kill Switch, meanwhile, reveals how cunning criminals take their crimes to a whole new level, killing their victims to assume their personas in an even more twisted version of identity theft.

The titles from Cineflix Rights and Law&Crime Productions’ former deal, including Cult Justice, Murder Uncut and Killer Cases, have sold all over the world to broadcasters and platforms such as Hulu (U.S.), A&E (U.S.), Channel 4 (U.K.), Sky (U.K.), Sky (Germany), TV4 (Sweden), CBC (Canada), ProSieben (Germany), Planète (France), Hearst Networks (EMEA territories, including the U.K., Africa, Italy, Iberia, Germany, Poland and Africa) and Viasat True Crime (Poland).

Felicia Litovitz, VP of acquisitions for North America at Cineflix Rights, said, “Law&Crime are leaders in securing exclusive access to up-to-the-minute cases that haven’t been seen before, as well as access to those critical to the investigations, including law enforcement, prosecutors, witnesses and victims. Killer Cases, Murder Uncut and Cult Justice have been very successful with our international buyers, and we’re thrilled to be extending our global partnership with Law&Crime through this new deal to greenlight several new series, which we are confident will be equally popular.”

“We’re excited to continue our longstanding partnership with Cineflix Rights, a team that has been instrumental in helping us find the perfect partners and bringing our compelling true-crime content to audiences around the globe,” said Rachel Stockman, president of Law&Crime Productions. “Their expertise in developing and distributing hit programming has made them invaluable collaborators, and we look forward to creating even more must-watch series together.”
