Cineflix Rights has unveiled its MIPCOM 2024 factual slate, spanning new lifestyle, renovation and food and travel franchises; blue-chip history and science documentaries; and new seasons of hit brands.

Seasons one through nine of A New Life in the Sun, produced by True North for Channel 4 in the U.K., are on the slate. It delivers real-life adventures in postcard-worthy locations and follows expats as they start new lives and businesses in dream locations across Europe.

Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive & Kids, produced by Wise Owl Films for Channel 4, rejoins the sheep-herding family as they put everything on the line to transform an abandoned stone barn and cottage into a 40-acre hub that’s all their own. Titanic: Our Secret Histories (Afro Mic Productions for Channel 4) tells the emotional stories from the everyday people who made, sailed and worked on the legendary ship and were at the heart of the disaster.

Building Bad (Shark Teeth Films for Crave) combines engineering, science and crime to reveal the ingenuity and twisted genius of enterprising criminals who walk the dark side of scientific invention, while Alien Corridors (Go Button Media for Super Channel and Hearst Networks) examines the world’s hotspots of intergalactic visitation.

An Optimist’s Guide to the Planet (Cream Productions for Crave and Bloomberg), hosted by explorer and Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, is a round-the-world adventure on the brighter side of climate change. Cold Case Cops (Peninsula Television for CBS Reality and CBS Justice) follows the detectives who step in to rebuild a case from ground zero.

Spring Break Murders (Hearst Media EMEA and Bell Media) explores stories of youthful adventures that ended in tragedy, while Summer Qamp, from Cineflix Productions and presented by Bright West Entertainment and produced in association with Hello Friend, Steve Robillard and Super Channel, follows a group of LGBTQ+ youth at an idyllic lakeside camp in Alberta, Canada.

Alongside these new series and features, Cineflix Rights’ MIPCOM slate includes returning seasons of hit brands including Château DIY, Tempting Fortune, Inside Taronga Zoo and The Yorkshire Auction House.

Tim Mutimer, CEO, Cineflix Rights, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the A New Life in the Sun franchise to Cineflix Rights. It’s a great addition to our slate and sits perfectly alongside our other entertaining lifestyle franchises, the very best of gripping true crime stories, must-have home and renovation, food and travel and fascinating blue-chip history and science documentaries.
