Only Distrib Brings SIC Factual Content Global

French distributor Only Distrib has acquired five factual titles from Portugal’s SIC to bring to the global market.

This includes the 4×45-minute series Portugal in Sight, which takes viewers throughout the Iberian country and details its strong history.

The travel series World in Sight, which takes viewers all over the world to discover various places and their people and traditions, is also being distributed by Only Distrib.

The five-parter Left to Their Own investigates the disappearance of kids in the ’80s in the Azores. Forty years later, some of the children talk about what happened to them and how they were sold to American couples who worked at the Lajes base at the time.

The culinary series On the Road takes viewers through the flavors of Portugal as Yugoslavian chef Ljubomir Stanisic and his friends meet with locals and learn their secrets.

The fifth title picked up for international distribution is The Stone Rafts, which unveils the best-kept secrets of five islanders where people live longer than the world average and where people and bears work together to fight climate change.

“This is a growth of our catalog in the areas of food, travel, discovery and investigation, for which the appetite is strong globally, and we’re happy to add these tiles to our offer,” said Laurène Voilliot, head of sales and acquisition.
