BBC Orders Plymouth Shooting Documentary

BBC has commissioned a documentary examining the events of the 2021 mass shooting in Keyham, Plymouth, from Firecracker Films.

Set to land on BBC Three and iPlayer, The Plymouth Shootings will feature interviews with those close to the case and those who knew the shooter, highlighting how a series of failures allowed the individual to remain in possession of a legal firearm. Passion Distribution will distribute the 45-minute title.

Lindsay Konieczny, producer and director for Firecracker Films, commented: “This film will attempt to understand why this tragedy happened, highlighting a series of societal failings. This is a complex story but is ultimately one of missed opportunities.”
