Video Interview: JFK: One Day in America’s Charlotte Rodrigues

The Emmy Award-winning franchise One Day in America returns with its second installment, JFK: One Day in America, on National Geographic, marking the 60th anniversary of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Debuting on Nat Geo on November 5 and available the next day for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu, the documentary series weaves archival footage, some colorized for the first time, with key testimony from the last surviving witnesses. The result is an immersive, minute-by-minute examination of that pivotal day that forever changed American history. From Emmy Award-winning 72 Films and David Glover along with Academy Award-winning filmmakers Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin, the three-part series is made in official collaboration with The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas.

72 Films’ Charlotte Rodrigues, series producer on JFK: One Day in America, takes TV Real Weekly behind the scenes, discussing the narrative techniques used to transport viewers right into the moments of confusion, chaos and grief during the fateful day that Kennedy was assassinated.
