New Ample Entertainment True-Crime Series Sells to Oxygen

Ample Entertainment has sold its new true-crime series The First Mindhunter (working title) to Oxygen, with a premiere set for this winter.

The series unlocks the secrets of Dr. Carlisle and his 500 hours of never-before-heard recorded interviews with Ted Bundy, the Happy Face Killer, the Hi-Fi Killers, Manny Cortez, Arthur Gary Bishop and Westley Allan Dodd. Each episode will zero in on the mind of a single killer.

Produced by Ample Entertainment and Motiv8, The First Mindhunter is executive produced by Ari Mark, Phil Lott, Kara Kurcz, Brian Lee and Josh Bingham.

Mark, co-founder of Ample, said, “There aren’t many times as a producer that you are blessed with this much archival that can truly reframe the audience’s thinking. In this case, it’s serial killers, and it is mind blowing.”
