Ample Delves into Jimmy Hoffa Disappearance

Ample Entertainment has in the works a new limited series that explores the unsolved murder and disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa.

After more than 45 years, the case remains unsolved for Hoffa, a labor union leader who was involved in organized crime. Working with Hoffa expert Dan Moldea and producer Beaux Carson, Ample has led the FBI to what might be Hoffa’s unmarked grave.

Filmmakers Ari Mark and Phil Lott helped make this potential discovery while shooting the limited series. Their cameras have been following Moldea’s hunt to uncover what happened to Hoffa after he inexplicably vanished from a restaurant parking lot in Michigan in 1975. Mark and Lott documented a ground-penetrating radar (GPR) test to geo-physically confirm rows of metal anomalies beneath the surface, which according to experts resemble barrels.

Mark said: “When it comes to Hoffa, Dan is the guy. Despite all odds, he has never stopped searching for the truth behind Hoffa’s disappearance. We’re thrilled that the FBI is finally listening, and I’m honored to be documenting the journey.”

Lott added: “We have faith in Moldea’s persistent drive to uncover what ensued nearly half a century ago, assuring that one of the biggest mysteries of the 20th century has this chance to get solved. We are proud to have played a part in directly influencing what could be a monumental discovery.”
