VICE Media Group Unveils Multimedia Project Source Material

VICE Media Group has launched Source Material, a new multimedia project from VICE World News.

Source Material, combining video and audio storytelling, is produced entirely from user-generated content to tell the world’s biggest stories with the recordings of those who lived it. It is available now on the VICE News YouTube channel and all the places podcasts are available, with eight episodes dropping weekly.

The series is presented without a host, allowing the audience to get a raw look at news events, from warzones to wildfires, from the people who have lived it. Each episode will be released as both an original podcast and a short film, produced uniquely for each medium. The Source Material video series is directed by Ian Bell with editing from Alex Megaro.
