Banijay Rights has secured a first-look deal with the award-winning factual indie Chatterbox, founded by Channel 4 alum Nav Raman and Ali Quirk.

Per the agreement, Banijay Rights now has exclusive access to Chatterbox’s slate of distinctive factual programming and formats. The first title in the deal is the BBC Three documentary Stacey Dooley Investigates: The Whale Hunters, which sees the presenter travel to the Faroe Islands to explore their tradition of whale slaughter. Chatterbox has also landed a talent-led factual-entertainment format and a new documentary directed by an Oscar- and BAFTA-award-winning producer.

Raman and Quirk said: “We are delighted to be working with Banijay Rights. They are great partners who will ensure our high-quality, impactful and entertaining programs are discovered by as wide a global audience as possible.”

Tim Mutimer, CEO of Banijay Rights, said: “Chatterbox is an exciting, innovative company, delivering fresh perspectives and new voices through a range of programs and formats. We are excited to be working closely with the business to further extend its programming’s international reach.”
