Discovery Launching HGTV Brand in Italy

Discovery is set to roll out the home and lifestyle brand HGTV as a free-to-air channel in Italy and as a pay-TV channel in 11 Central European markets.

HGTV will launch as a free-to-air-channel on February 2 in Italy, where it will also be available on the streaming entertainment platform dplay. In such Central European markets as Romania, Hungary and Serbia, it will launch as a pay-TV channel during the first quarter of the year.

HGTV launched in Germany and South Africa in 2019, while Home is rebranding to HGTV in the U.K. on January 21. Among the brand’s hit international titles are Fixer Upper, House Hunters and Flip or Flop.
