Orange Smarty Sells Co-Funded Shows Around the World

Orange Smarty has inked international deals across its growing slate of co-funded shows, which includes Claimed and Shamed, Call the Cleaners and Bear About the House: Living with My Supersized Pet.

Seasons seven through nine of Claimed and Shamed were sold to TV4 in Sweden, while RTL in Croatia has picked up seasons seven and eight of the Curve Media-produced series fronted by Ore Oduba. Orange Smarty invested in seasons seven through ten of the series, which exposes conmen, scammers and cheats.

Both seasons of Call the Cleaners, another Curve Media series backed by Orange Smarty funding, have been taken by TV4 in Sweden, Discovery in Turkey and Russia, Sky Prime/Vibe in New Zealand and Discovery in Asia. The first season of the show has been bought by Virgin Media in Ireland, Discovery in Poland and the inflight operator Global Eagle Entertainment for KLM. Poland’s Polsat has picked up the second season of the extreme-cleaning show.

Barcroft Productions’ 60-minute film Bear About the House: Living with my Supersized Pet that Orange Smarty invested in sold to TV2 in Denmark, Medialaan, AV Jet, MCOT in Thailand, Ceska Televize in the Czech Republic and TVN in Poland.

Orange Smarty is set to invest in the second season of Paul O’Grady’s Little Heroes, produced by Olga TV. The series, which premiered on ITV last August, sees O’Grady spend time with the children being treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the staff who care for them.
