Serial Killer: Devil Unchained Limited Series to Launch on ID

Investigation Discovery (ID) is set to premiere the new limited series Serial Killer: Devil Unchained, which aims to uncover the truth about the convicted murderer and rapist Todd Kohlhepp.

Filmmaker and investigative journalist Maria Awes leads the journey to learn more about seven murders that Kohlhepp pled guilty to after a young woman named Kala Brown, who had been held captive in a shipping container on his property, was found alive in November 2016. In Serial Killer: Devil Unchained, Awes delves into not only Kohlhepp’s known crimes but also additional ones he claims to have committed. She is aided in her investigation by former FBI profiler John Douglas, Kohlhepp biographer Gary Garrett and through conversations with Kohlhepp’s family.

Produced by Committee Films, the first of three two-hour episodes of Serial Killer: Devil Unchained is slated to bow on ID on Monday, July 22, at 9 p.m.
