Robert Englund to Host Travel Channel Haunted History Series

Travel Channel’s new series about real-life horror stories of yesteryear, the tentatively titled Shadows of History, will be hosted by Robert Englund, the actor best known for playing Freddy Krueger in the A Nightmare on Elm Street films.

Alongside historians and other scholars, Englund will dive into strange and scary accounts that were recorded in America’s newspapers, with each story that’s covered being ripped straight from the headlines of history. Produced by Workaholic Productions for Travel Channel, the six-episode series will air later this year.
