New Discovery Series to Explore Frank Church Wilderness Community

Discovery Channel has greenlit a new original series, the tentatively titled River of No Return, which shines a spotlight on the people surviving in the backcountry of the Frank Church Wilderness.

The show will follow the tight-knit community of homesteaders in “The Frank,” who rely on each other and their survival skills to endure the tough winters and prepare for spring. Throughout the series, viewers will learn about the inhabitant’s strict code of conduct and how they navigate the challenging Salmon River (also known as The River of No Return)—the largest un-dammed river in North America and the local community’s sole means of transport and accessing supplies.
