HandMade Films Doc Set to Premiere on AMC

The documentary feature An Accidental Studio, the first AMC UK original production, is slated to premiere on AMC channels internationally this spring.

The doc will explore the creation of HandMade Films, the British film studio founded by former Beatle George Harrison and behind such movies as Life of Brian, The Long Good Friday and Withnail and I. In addition to Harrison, An Accidental Studio will feature interviews with Michael Palin, Terry Gilliam, Richard E. Grant and others.

An Accidental Studio will premiere on AMC on May 4, at 9 p.m., exclusively to British Telecommunications (BT) customers. DCD Rights distributes the film in the U.S. and internationally outside of the AMC territories.
