5 Commissions The Grand Tour with Tom Read Wilson

5 has commissioned The Grand Tour with Tom Read Wilson (w.t.) from Honey Bee and Motion Entertainment, a WPP Media company.

The three-part series will see actor and singer Tom Read Wilson follow in the footsteps of children of wealthy British families from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries who were sent on a tour of Europe as part of a cultural coming-of-age tradition.

Read Wilson will be educated in the finest of dining skills and etiquette, take fencing and sculpting lessons and more on his journey of enlightenment.

The series will delve into paintings, sculptures, buildings and landscapes around Europe to gain an understanding of the lives of the young aristocrats who had these same experiences centuries ago. Read Wilson will document his journey by recording on his Super 8 camera.
