MAINZ: ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE) has placed more than 150 hours of programming from its ZDFE.junior slate, including Dance Academy and Mako Mermaids, with broadcasters across the Asia Pacific.

In Australia, ABC International acquired the pan-Asian pay-TV rights for all three seasons of Dance Academy. HBO Family Asia picked up the pay-TV rights for season two of the hit series Mako Mermaids. ThaiTV3 licensed the free-TV rights for the live-action adventure comedy Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures, seasons one and two of Wolfblood, as well as Wicked Science season one.

Meanwhile, Next Step in Thailand landed the free-TV rights for the animation series Rusty Knight, Shaolin Wuzang, Tempo Express and the first season of The Skinner Boys. The free-TV rights for both seasons of Elephant Princess went to Indonesia’s Spectrum Films for Indonesia and Sri Lanka.

Christophe Goldberger, the managing director of GoldBee, will again be representing ZDFE’s catalogue at ATF. The two companies have been working together since early 2014 in a partnership to manage and distribute ZDFE.junior’s program catalogue and consumer products in Iberia, Latin America and Asia.

Peter Lang, VP of ZDFE.junior, commented, “With more than 3,500 commercial hours, ZDFE.junior has one of the strongest catalogues of kids programs in the industry, from high-quality preschool properties to animated comedies and adventures for kids, and outstanding teen live-action dramas and comedies. With this background, we will further strengthen our established relationships with broadcasters in the region and find new key partners.”
