SINGAPORE: At ATF, Rainbow will be showcasing a selection of kids’ shows, including Winx Club and the brand-new Regal Academy.

Andrea Graciotti, the head of sales and co-productions at Rainbow, says Regal Academy offers a “unique and utterly hilarious take on our best-loved fairy tales that come to life at Regal Academy, where Rose Cinderella and her classmates must [balance] studying with dealing with their families.”

Meanwhile, My American Friend (working title) is a live-action series about an American girl who wins a scholarship to a fashion school in Milan, where she meets a trendy Italian girl named Bianca. Graciotti reports that the company has recently secured sales in Asia for Winx Club and Regal Academy in a global deal with Nickelodeon.

“The real driver to deliver ratings is strong character-driven stories” with relatable protagonists, Graciotti says. “We strongly believe in this key element, which is the secret behind the success of Winx and Regal Academy.”
