Lauren Glaubach, formerly YouTube’s director and global head of youth partnerships and programming, has been appointed to the board of directors at pocket.watch.

Glaubach has been tapped to provide counsel on pocket.watch’s strategy, expanding their most popular brands in the kids’ entertainment space and helping to extend their reach to consumers globally. Glaubach previously spent 11 years at YouTube, and prior to this worked at The Walt Disney Company, with roles in corporate strategic planning and corporate franchise management.

“Kids and family programming is in a transformational moment, where the largest global franchises and the most popular characters and creators are digital first. And while many of these creators are breaking viewership records, they don’t necessarily have the support to navigate global distribution and diversified business opportunities,” said Glaubach. “I believe this provides a unique opportunity for collaboration worldwide, which is why I am so looking forward to joining pocket.watch. Our philosophies around the power of storytelling and the value of independent creators completely align. I’ve watched as this uniquely positioned company has grown, providing viewers with a seamless experience to connect with their favorite creators and providing those creators with the support they deserve.”

“Lauren is undeniably an influential voice in paving the transformation in the kids and family media landscape and creator economy,” said Chris M. Williams, founder and CEO at pocket.watch. “Our pocket.watch team has worked hand-in-hand with her over the years and has had the pleasure of working with her alongside our creators, so we are very much looking forward to welcoming her into the fold and are incredibly grateful for her expertise, experience and insightful collaboration.”
