Youth Media Alliance Appoints Trio of Board Members

Apartment 11 Productions’ Jonathan Finkelstein, KidsTV’s Marney Malabar and Atomic Cartoons’ Jennifer Twiner-McCarron have joined the board of directors at Youth Media Alliance (YMA).

Finkelstein is president and executive producer at Apartment 11, Malabar is director of KidsTV at TVO and Twiner-McCarron is president of Atomic Cartoons. These three execs are taking over from Vince Commisso, president and CEO of 9 Story Media Group, and Alexandra Raffé, VP of Thunderbird Entertainment, whose terms came to an end.

In other news, YMA revealed that the second recipient of the YMA Andra Sheffer Scholarship is Elizabeth Nuna, a student from Centennial College’s Children’s Media Program in Toronto. In addition, YMA hired Claudia Marcoux as its new special events and communications coordinator, replacing Lyne Côté.
