Xilam Hires Former Gaumont Alum Céline Carenco

Xilam Animation has appointed Céline Carenco, who worked at Gaumont Animation for 15 years, as senior VP of media distribution for Asia Pacific.

In her new position, Carenco will sell Xilam’s expanding portfolio of kids’ and family programming to the AsiaPac region. She most recently served as international sales and acquisitions director at Awol Animation in Paris.

Earlier in her career, Carenco was employed by Gaumont Animation, where she was charged with developing the company’s international distribution activity in Asia, EMEA and Canada.

Marie-Laure Marchand, Xilam’s senior VP of global consumer product and media distribution, will now dedicate all of her time to helping expand and implement the company’s global consumer products strategies.

Morgann Favennec, the executive VP of global sales development at Xilam, commented: “Céline has a terrific track record in both the creative and business sides of animation and she will be a great asset to our sales team as we continue to forge relationships in the key Asia-Pacific market. Céline is highly regarded in the region, where she began and forged her sales career.”
