Video Interview: WondLa’s Bobs Gannaway & Tony DiTerlizzi

The second season of Apple TV+’s WondLa adaptation, based on Tony DiTerlizzi’s The Search for WondLa trilogy of books, has premiered, with all episodes available on the platform now. Produced by Skydance Animation, the series follows the adventures of Eva, a human teenager raised by a robot caretaker who finds herself on a strange planet inhabited by aliens.

DiTerlizzi, who is also known for co-creating The Spiderwick Chronicles, serves as an executive producer on the animated adaptation and works closely with showrunner and executive producer Bobs Gannaway (Monsters at Work, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The Emperor’s New School) to capture the books’ themes, characters and story just right on-screen.

In this video interview, DiTerlizzi and Gannaway tell TV Kids Weekly about the themes of season two, how closely it aligns with the second book of the series and their close collaboration throughout the development process.
